Tina Salvesen

Star Maps are maps to guide the soul onward during the journey from one world to the next through birth and death and rebirth. Even the paper goes through a process of burial and rebirth. The process begins by burying the paper and letting the natural landscape stamp it’s own narrative on it. The paper is exhumed and what nature leaves behind is where I begin to draw images or manipulate the natural elements on the paper itself. The language and symbols arise from my meditations and readings.
